Today was my party! Even though my actual birthday is on Thursday, Mom decided to let me have my party today. Dad was off work, so it was perfect. I must say that we had an awesome time. Mom and Nana fixed a yummy turkey dinner for everyone. They also baked my cake and even made me some cupcakes. My birthday cake was actually a huge cupcake. Mom and Nana made it the same color as my Curious George decorations. Daddy and Mommy blew up so many balloons for me, that they were everywhere. I must say that I was pretty excited about all the balloons. Mommy took lots of pictures so I will share as many as I can over the next couple of days. Thank you to everyone for all the presents and birthday wishes!

Oh my goodness, I am so excited! I have new jammies and my Nana and Pa are here! I woke up this morning to be greeted in my room by my Pa! I haven't seen my Pa in forever. I must say that I was pretty excited to see him. I like to think that I am Pa's little buddy and Nana's little boy.

My Nana surprised me with some super, cool jammies. They look so much like my loud alien jammies from when I was little, if you remember that pair! Daddy says they kinda make me look stocky...whatever that means! Personally, I think they make me look out of this world!

Where are you Nana and Pa? Mommy told me that you were on your way. I have been waiting patiently for your arrival. I took two naps and I still haven't seen you. All I have to say, is that I better see you in the morning or you are in big trouble!

Mommy called me her little rockstar today. She was busy in the kitchen and took some time to give me a cool new do. She fixed my hair in a mohawk! It really showed Daddy how much it has grown.

Well, I am happy to report two big accomplishments for me. First, I woke up at 4:30 in the morning to show Mommy that I know how to point to things. She seemed pretty excited considering it was in wee hours of the morning. I kept pointing to my bookcase saying "d". Mommy hasn't figured out what I was trying to tell her yet.

Also, I am officially taking steps. Mommy decided that after spending the whole evening take steps from one thing to another, that it was official. Daddy even got to see it! Mommy was trying to take my picture today and I kept trying to walk to her to get that darn camera! It's been an exciting day for sure!

I was actually walking from Daddy to Mommy!

I woke up to a big surprise today. My Daddy was home! Mommy and I thought he was supposed to work but we were wrong. He is going to be off for the next couple of days with me. Today, we spent most of the day teething. Daddy kept me supplied with cold things to chew on and I drooled a water faucet. I can't seem to keep my hands out of my mouth. Wouldn't it be something if I got a few new teeth for my birthday!?

I am so excited for the new year. I must say that 2008 was great but I bet 2009 is going to be awesome! Mommy says that it is going to be the best year ever! Being that it is also the beginning of the year, it means my birthday is only a week away! Wow. Can you believe that I am going to be a year old!? Don't ask Mommy that question or she will cry!
