Milk Allergy :(

Monday, August 30, 2010

Today I had my allergy appointment. :( Boooo! The skin test came back positive for milk. The reaction spot was actually bigger than last time we did the test over a year ago. It also seemed to itch me more than last time. I was not a happy camper when the itching started. Mommy was really disappointed because she was sure that I had started to outgrow this stupid allergy. Nope. However, the doctor did say there is hope I still will outgrow it by school. Fingers crossed!

Surprises!

Sunday, August 29, 2010

Sunday surprises courtesy of John Blue! Yep, I got a surprise today. At the beginning of summer John Blue sent me some hand me down clothes. At the time, I was too little for all of them. Well, with my most recent growth spurt Mommy decided to get all my stored clothes out and try them on me....which I was not excited about. However, I tried on the size 3 shorts and found a big surprise.....$2!!!! I owe you something cool John Blue! Mommy said I could buy two hotwheels with it and send you one.

Ear Update #1

Saturday, August 28, 2010

Well, my ear finally stopped draining and I am back in good spirits. Mom and the ear infection must have wore me out yesterday because I slept from 4pm to 6:30am this morning. I woke up a few times but I quickly went back to sleep after a drink of water. Mommy was so SHOCKED that I slept that much. It was long overdue being that I had some rough nights previously in the week. So far the plan is still on for my very first trip to Dutch Wonderland with my partner in crime Robbie. It should be interesting to say the least. We always have a great time when we get together so I am very, very excited!

Ear Infection #4

Friday, August 27, 2010

I have been diagnosed with ear infection #4 of the year. Mommy decided to take me to the doctor yesterday being that I had been feverish and cranky. Oh, and I was also able to tell her that my left ear was hurting. This is the VERY first time I have ever been able to let her know I wasn't feeling well. Anyway, the doctor took a quick look and said it was true that I knew what I was talking about. The doctor prescribed amoxocillin and told me to take it easy.

The medicine is already working. My ear is draining and I am smiling again. I should make a full recovery just in time to go to Dutch Wonderland with my good buddy Robbie. I am so excited that I am going to be able to go now. We are going to have SOOOOOO much fun!

What a week!

Monday, August 23, 2010

Wow. It was such a great week last week! I had a blast having my Daddy home all week long. I got to spend some good time with him. He had a little bit of a summer cold for the first part but he started feeling better towards the end of the week. Mommy also did engagement photos on Sunday so I got to spend a good portion of the day with Dad. We played with all the trains that my Nana sent me. John Blue was so nice to let me take a turn playing with them! Thanks so much for making last week seem like Christmas!!!

Water Fun!!!

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

Today was water fun at Maddie's house! I love to play in the water at Maddie's house. There was such a great turnout of kids from the playgroup and we had a blast. Everyone got along so well and we got wet and wild! I didn't want to leave and I let everyone know it too. I must say that being 2 can be tough sometimes because well....I just don't understand why we couldn't just play all day long.

I love my chicken fingers and fries!

This is Lily showing me the proper way to exit the pool!

True Toddler Fact #356 - Food always looks and tastes better on another person's plate.

I felt like I needed to do some work being that Maddie's Mom fed me.....so I mowed the grass!

I was applying the skills Lily had taught me!

I had so much fun laughing with James!

Toddlers gone wild!!!

How many toddlers can you fit in a three ring blow up pool? Well, at least five!

Choo Choo, Robbie's Two!!!

Sunday, August 15, 2010

Choo Choo, Robbie's two!!! It's so hard to believe that my good buddy Robbie is now 2! It's official. He had his big celebration on Sunday. I got to take Mommy and Daddy with me. I must say....I had the best time ever! This was my very first official"kid" party that I have been invited. It was complete with everything that a little boy could want. The coolest thing....there was a HUGE bouncy house for all us kids to play in. I was a hot mess when I was finished running around.

Robbie got lots of trains for his birthday. Trains are his favorite things ever. I have also started taking an interest in trains recently. Robbie was so nice to let everyone play with his toys and train table. Everyone got along really well and we all had so much fun with one another.

Oh, and I cried like a baby when I had to leave. I wanted to stay for a lot longer. :(

Choo Choo Barn

Friday, August 13, 2010

Today I had one of the most awesome adventures ever. I got to take my very first road trip with my best buddy Spencer! We loaded up the car bright and early and headed off for the Choo Choo Barn! We were also meeting one of my new friends there as well. His name is Sterling and he is 2 also.

The Choo Choo Barn, Traintown U.S.A., is a 1,700 square foot train display in Strausburg, Pennsylvania that features over 150 hand-built animated figures and vehicles and 22 operating trains. I must say it is every little boy's dream. At least it was for Spencer, Sterling and myself!

Besides the cool train display, we got to touch and play around a real train that was parked on the hill. Spencer and I loved putting rocks in one of the holes on the side of the train car. We also got to play with a Thomas the Tank Engine Train Table. This is definitely something that will be on my wishlist for Christmas. I could have stayed there all day and played with it. Spencer and Sterling really enjoyed it as well.

After the Choo Choo Barn, our Mommies were feeling a little brave and decided to treat us to lunch...in a restaurant. Okay, it was McDonalds but taking the three of us is always interesting. Surprisingly, we all three did excellent. I had skipped breakfast with all the excitement going on and found myself to be super hungry. I ate 7 nuggets! The extra one was compliments of my buddy, Spence. He gave me one of his. Let me tell you.....that's a true friend.

Oh, and another great highlight of the day was that I ate a couple of nutter butter cookies! This is the first time ever that I ate peanut butter! Spencer's Mom always brings the best snacks. She has introduced me to pretzels and nutter butters! Mommy was so thrilled!

Day at the Hospital

Wednesday, August 11, 2010

Has my Momma told you lately how incredible I am!? I impressed everyone again on Wednesday with my amazingly good behavior at the hospital. Being that the parking is horrendous at the hospital and traffic can be a bear, we had to leave extra early to get there on time. Mommy always says that you are either EARLY or LATE with a toddler. There is no such thing as right on time. To be safe....we got there early! Too early. I didn't really mind because we monkeyed around the hospital and got to see lots of neat things. I got to see the Life Lion Helicopter and I also got to see all the construction that was going on for the new parts of the children's hospital. It was so fun!

After, Mommy had promised me lunch and a day at the park. Even though it was a bit warm, we made our way over to our favorite shaded park....Shank Park. Boy, was Shank Park interesting. Keep in mind that I got a happy meal as soon as we left the hospital....well I also got another lunch at the park. It was the one I crashed. Yes, I embarrassed the crap out of Mom when I ran to the picnic table of a sweet, adorable little family. The Mom of that family had yelled lunchtime and I happily ran over to join them. I ended up having popcorn chicken and potato wedges courtesty of Liam's family. Definitely, a memory for the memory book!

Oh, and Mommy got the results of her bone scan and the reports showed improvements. Pretty awesome being that this was only a 6 month study! Mom will get her CBC results probably in the next week. What a great way to end the research project!

You can see the little marker slightly went up for the right hip!

It even went up a little more on the left hip!

Word of the day....

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

Today's word of the day is Yo-Yo! I have been saying it all day long. It's a good word. Just say it...Yooooo-Yoooooo! It will make you smile....I promise!

Hummel Nature Trail

Monday, August 9, 2010

What a wonderful way to start the week!!! Hummel Nature Trail was awesome! I had so much fun with Spencer today. We started off at Mehaffie Park, which has always been one of my favorites. We met a bunch of our friends there and had a fabulous time running around. Next, Emily (who is Spencer's Mom) invited us over to the Hummel Nature Trail right down the road. I got to throw rocks in the water and run across a wooden bridge. It was a great time. I walked through the entire trail by myself!

I also said "all better" this morning. Yes, that's huge. I wasn't prompted at all. I said it on my own freewill when Mom had kissed a boo boo. Needless to say, that made Mom's day! See, Mom I do listen...I am just stubborn at times.

Mommy also found out that her appointment for tomorrow has been rescheduled and she is going to be able to join me at my appointment tomorrow. She is above the moon excited! The doctor had to reschedule for Wednesday which means I get to go with her. The ladies at the hospital are so excited to see me. I guess that means I have to be my sweet, well behaved, charming self that day.
