Busy, Busy Day!

I am so excited to tell you about my busy day. Today I got to meet my Uncle John, Aunt Laura, and cousin John Blue. They came over around 1pm to see me and Mommy before she had to return her rental to Lexington. I got to hang out with them until Mommy and Pa got back from turning in our sweet ride. They brought me a new bathrobe (Hugh Heffner style), house slippers, and a pair of overall shorts. I can't wait to wear them. In the midst of the roadtrip and my visitors, I think I have cut a third tooth. Nana was the first to spot it on the way to Kentucky and everyone is trying to help me out.

When my Mommy and Pa finally came home, they brought me a big surprise. My cousin Brian stopped by to see me for a real quick visit. He is in the military and I was so excited to finally meet him. Mommy talks a lot about him and our other cousin Travis, who is also in the military. She is so proud of them both and so am I.

Tomorrow we are gonna meet a whole bunch more people. I am so excited but I do miss my Daddy and wish he could have been here with us!

This is my cousin Brian with Mommy and I. Brian is the one in the camouflage if you didn't know. Oh wait, he is in camouflage so you probably can't see him! Ha ha!

This is how I pass my time between visitors - I twiddle my thumbs. I constantly do this and it always makes my Mommy smile.

This is my temporary sleeping arrangments. I like it. As long as I have my silkie, platypus, and my elephant, I am good!

We made it to Kentucky and I survived my first road trip. We left a little before 9am and we got to Pa's about 9pm. I was so excited that I took about 2 hours worth of naps and I finally zonked out about 11pm. Mommy is hoping that I will sleep till noon! I will tell you more about my adventures but for now I need to sleep. The computer is not letting me show the few pics that we got on the road so I will work on that and have them up soon.

Ready or not, here I come!

Mommy and Nana have been talking about our big trip to Kentucky for quite some time. They loaded me and Red Bird up in the stroller and we headed off down the road. However, to my surprise we only went around the block! I guess we will be going to Kentucky tomorrow.

I have my suitcase packed and I am ready to hit the road. I have all my essentials in there. They include Patty the Platypus, my silkie blanket, Ellie the Elephant, and soy. It's going to be a good car ride! Mommy and Nana hope that I sleep some on the way home. They said it would take a long time to get there. I figure they mean about an hour or two. Pa is ready to see me and I get to meet so many people for the first time. John Blue better be ready because I have him some cool pirate toys! I will have to watch him play with them because I still try to eat anything I can stick in my mouth. Mommy said we can't eat Jack Sparrow. Ready or not, here I come!!!

Bambi's Mom is alive and eating my peaches! I was sitting at the table having some yummy sweet potatoes and I caught Bambi's Mom sneaking peaches from my peach tree! Mommy took pictures so you all could see the crime in action.

So why can't I eat pears and bananas everyday? Why must you try a new food every three days? Daddy says I am just as picky as Mommy. I love all fruits and I have taken a liking to sweet potatoes. I can tolerate green beans and peas. Tonight Mommy and Nana tried to give me beef and beef broth. I will let you decide whether or not I liked it based on the pictures Mommy took.

You are never going to believe what I found in my bed! My Mommy!!! She is so silly. You can see we both had bed head. I told her not to make it a habit because I like to stretch out when I sleep.

Third times a charm! We have sweet potatoe success after consecutive days of trying these yummy veggies. Despite the mess in the pictures, I did get some in my mouth. I am starting to like more food besides fruit. Mommy and Nana are so proud of me!

Today I got to play with my Daddy when he came home from work. I have such a good time when we are together. Mommy of course had to snap a few pictures of us. She has gone mad with that camera! She even took it along for our evening walk and made me take pictures in front of the neighbor's flowers. Too bad they were dying or they probably would've been a beautiful background for a picture. Hope you enjoy the pics of me and Daddy! I'll even through one in of Mommy too!

Can you see a big difference? I remember when I barely fit into my bouncy chair that my Great Aunt Susie picked out for me. I love this chair. Mommy puts me in it all the time. I eat my breakfast sitting in it, take cat naps in it, and I also relax for a few sitting in it. I am so glad that she picked this out for me! You can really see how big I have gotten from the pictures Mommy took of me sitting in it.

I was 2 weeks and 1 day. This picture was taken by my Great Aunt Patsy who took care of me while Mommy was in the hospital. I can't wait to see her again!

This is me at 6 months 1 week and 6 days. What a difference!

I know it is early but all this talk from John Blue about Christmas in July got me thinking. There is only one thing that I want for Christmas. No, it is not my two front teeth. I already have two on the bottom and that is enough right now. Seriously, I want the cool black cord from the doctor's office. The big white sheet of paper for me to lay on is optional but would also be a nice addition. I think the black cord may be pretty rare because the doc got all testy when I wouldn't let it go. Apparently, he has not watched the Sesame Street episode featuring sharing! Anyway, I thought this would give everyone plenty of time to find one. You can see it in several pictures that Mommy took of me at the doctor's office from the last two visits.

Today Mommy had her post surgery follow up at the medical center. I had to get up real early so I could go with her. I figured I needed to go with her being that she went with me to my appointment yesterday. Mommy let me wear my monkey pajamas being that it was so early and chilly outside. I must say, I looked cute. Mommy got all good reports from the doctors and she can start lifting me with caution after the weekend. I am so glad that she is doing good. She was feeling a little tired today so we napped in the afternoon. She outnapped me but don't worry, Nana was here to take care of me.

Mommy took a few pictures of me on the back patio with her new camera. She is still learning. The pictures featured me, so how bad can they be! Hope you enjoy!
