Wanted : Hair Cut by Grandma!

Thursday, January 28, 2010

Wanted : Hair Cut by Grandma Kaye! Everyone is agreement that I need a hair cut asap! My cute little curls are not coming back. My hair is stick straight and all over my head. I am afraid that we may have to use a weed wacker to cut it if we don't do something soon. Mommy still thinks I am cute though. Every day is a bed head day!

Thank You Nana!

Monday, January 25, 2010

First, I wanted to tell Nana thanks for the early Valentine's Day present! I am so excited! Nana decided to give us a family gift for Valentine's Day this year. She bought me a 12 week pass to the Hop N' Shop. Now, I can go there everyday for three hours if I want! How cool is that! Nana thought it was a great place for me to continue going to so I can meet lots of new friends. It is also a present for Mommy and Daddy because it helps get all my energy out being that it is so cold outside. I am REALLY hoping that Daddy takes me there tomorrow for a few hours. I need to show him how I can run the obstacle course all by myself!

I have to tell you about my crazy morning. I was woke up at 6:30 am with the wind howling at my window. It was so windy that my summer cottage and sand table on the back patio blew off of it. I couldn't believe my eyes when I got up. Mommy waited for Daddy to come home so we could go survey the damage. All is well. My house is back in place and my table is covered again. After seeing that, we are lucky we didn't blow in the river!

I started the day off with some Yoga. I want to be just like Mom.

I call this the "Peek-A-Boo" pose.

Still getting into the final position.

And you want me to hold this pose for 30-40 seconds!?

Pooped after a good workout. What's better than snuggling with my favorite kitty and snowman blanket?

Well, the only thing better is using your favorite kitty as a pillow!

Dallas let me use him as a feather pillow for about a half hour. He is such a good kitty.

Mom was so proud that I arranged the Little Einstein people in the Dora Van all by myself. I thought the lady should drive with a dolphin in the front seat and the astronauts belonged in the back. It was really the only logical choice.

I had to cheer on the trash guys being that we had a lot of trash. They love me especially when I lick the glass!

Mommy was trying so hard to get one good picture of me. The funny face will have to do for now.

Escaping. Nuff' said.

I had to break in the new "sitting" table.

I see you!

Fun News!

Sunday, January 24, 2010

We have some fun news. Mommy has applied and is going to be part of a Crohn's research study at the Hershey Medical Center. She stumbled upon this opportunity by chance when she was googling Crohn's research looking for a local walk or marathon. Instead there was a hit for a study that just was released that very day. What are the odds? The study is on Crohn's Disease and Vitamin D. Here is the official link for you to check it out : Click Here Mommy is supposed to get a call next week that will set up the intial visit so she can sign the consent form and make sure she is good to go with the study. The study is being overseen by Dr. Jill Smith who is a doctor at the med center. Mommy met her a couple of times when she was in the hospital and she is an awesome person. Mommy was so excited to hear that she was overseeing the study. Hopefully, we can see some good things come from this study in the future.

Nutrient Deficiency is common for people who have Crohn's Disease, with vitamin D being one of the nutrients lacking or at a decreased level. Crohnies are advised to take vitamin D supplements to prevent bone mass density loss, which is a common complication of the disease. So really, it is a win-win situation for Mommy to be part of this study. We will keep everyone posted as we find out more details.

Friday Fun!!!!

Saturday, January 22, 2010

Fridays are always fun at the Kaye house! I had the best time ever today. Mommy and I had a playdate with Emily and Spencer. Spencer is about 1.5 months younger than me but boy he sure gives me a run for my money! We went to the Hop N' Shop in the mall to play. We had a blast. I ran around like a wild one for about 2 hours. However, towards the end I ran out of gas. You would be so proud of me though. There is a big giant 40 foot inflatable obstacle course and I went through it all by myself twice! Mommy went with me the first time and she literally had to push, pull, and drag me through it. Only after two times of this torture, I decided to do it myself. Spencer was a pro at it and I must say he was my inspiration. Mommy didn't even know I had went in it by myself until I went zipping by her and her new friends. Everyone yelled "Look at Brayden!" Mommy was so proud that I thought she was going to cry. If you go to this site : http://www.hopshoppartyplay.com/ and click on photo gallery, you can see my new favorite place and the big inflatable obstacle course I conquered.

On the way home, I was fast asleep before Mom reached the interstate. Don't worry, I woke up in time for Mom and I to grab me a Happy Meal. I ate the whole thing! Every single bit of it and Mom got me the big kids meal. Wow! Today was such a great day.

Don't worry..... I didn't go out looking like this. Mommy gave me a bath before we went so my hair would not have my trademark bed head!

Operation Banana!

Wednesday, January 20, 2010

Operation Banana = FAIL! Even though I didn't "eat" the banana I sure had a good time with it. I squished it, held it, and even gave it a lick. That is a HUGE step for me. Mom let me go wild with it in my high chair tonight. Needless to say, I was taken straight to the bath tub. I had it everywhere! It was all over my face, hands, hair, and even on my belly. Mom had such a hard time getting it all out of my hair. There was even some up my nose! Don't worry though. We are going to repeat Operation Banana over the next couple of days. Mom and Dad are convinced if I will just give it a try that I will like it. Well, we will see.

Tuesday, January 19, 2010

Today was another fun filled Tuesday! Daddy was off so that meant we got to do something fun. We decided to head south to the York Galleria to visit a place called Tumble Town. It was a lot like the Hop N' Shop but this place had more climbing things. It wasn't busy at all. I did make one friend while I was there. Her name is Chloe and she was 2 and a half years old. She liked me. I could tell becuase she followed me around and wanted to throw balls at me. Don't worry. I liked it. I tuckered myself out from running around like a mad man that I fell asleep at dinner. Yes, I was in my highchair and fell asleep sitting right up. I guess Mom and Dad got their 10 dollars worth out of that trip!

Workin' Hard For My Money!

Friday, January 15, 2010

Well, I am workin' hard for my money these days. Mom has me doing all kinds of chores around the house. I can sweep. I can dust bust. I can wipe up my spills. I can even flush the toilet! I love to help Mom around the house. She says that I am the best little helper that she has ever had. I am supposed to teach Dallas and Jersey how to be productive but I am not sure I will succeed at that. So far, Dallas tells me that their job is to hold the couch down. Boy, they do a great job at that!

Take a look at my $3 jammies that Mom got me at Wal-Mart the other day! The jammies even came in a pouch with a rubber duckie and a rubber frog in it. Yay for bargains!

Catching Up!

Wednesday, January 13, 2010

I have some major catching up to do with everyone! I have been a busy little boy since turning two years old. I am teething again. Hopefully, this will be the end of it with the two year molars. I also had the most awesome time on Tuesday. Daddy and Mommy decided they would let me spend some of my birthday money. They took me to the Colonial Park Mall that had a place in it called Hop N' Shop. It's a big indoor play place! So cool! It had every toy and contraption imaginable. There was computers to play on, ball pits, trampolines, obstacle courses, ride toys, basketball, and even a kitchen to play in. I had a blast! I got to meet several new friends and I played extremely well with all the kids. I was the youngest there but I had some kids show me the ropes. I did run into a slight bully. Don't worry. I used a Matty Kaye approach when he tried to take the ride toy I was on.....I just laughed and laughed at him. I thought he was playing a game. I ended up giving it to him because he must have really wanted it. There was so many things to do, I didn't want to get into my first toddler brawl! Mommy told me that she promised she would take me back. It wore me down good. I came home and slept the whole evening and got up for a little snack and went back to sleep for the night. I ran two hours straight in that place!

Don't you like the outfit that my Aunt Laura picked me out? She got one for me and for Blue! Thanks again Aunt Laura for keeping me in style!
