I am still a sick peanut.

Friday, October 31, 2008

I am still a sick peanut. The good news is that I am getting better. Today Mommy called the pediatrician to make sure she was doing everything right. I ended up getting to go to CVS with Mom to get some medicine. They didn't have what we were looking for but Mom got some medicine called Red Bull! While we were there we ran into my neighbor named Dave. I had to keep a good grip on Ellie because he was eyeing her up.

Do these pants make my butt look big?

How about like this? Does it look big?

Okay, I am ready to go.

I am a sick peanut.

Thursday, October 30, 2008

I am a sick little peanut. Mommy says that I have a cold and I should be better in a few days. I am resting well but I have crusties all over my nose. Mommy can't keep it clean. I tried my best to play with all my toys today but I couldn't. Mommy says this is the first day in ages that I haven't tried to pull up on everything.

Stranger Anxiety

Wednesday, October 29, 2008

Today was a busy day. I had to go to the doctor with Mommy. I was glad it wasn't me this time. Mommy had to see a Rheumatologist about the joint pain that she had experienced earlier in the month. I was a pretty good boy considering I am going through stranger anxiety. All the nurses were so excited to see me that it scared me a little. I cried and went downhill from there. Mommy had to be examined and I was not happy that she wasn't able to sit by me. Overall, Mom said I was a pretty good boy and she was proud of me. The doctor was really nice. She has a little girl that is one. She gave Mommy her cell phone number in case she started to have pain again but I think she just wanted me to call her little girl!

We didn't get to take any pictures today. Boo on us! However, we have some left over from yesterday of me in my rockstar jammies.

I am a proud homeowner!

Tuesday, October 28, 2008

Yes, you read it correctly, I am a proud owner of a Fisher Price Laugh and Learn House. I hadn't planned on buying a home anytime soon but I came across this foreclosed little gem and I had to snag it up. It was a deal that seemed too good to be true. I was able to negotiate the price down to half the normal price a house like this runs. I must say that Mommy and Nana were just as excited as I was! I actually closed on the deal when Nana was here visiting me. She went with me to view the property and she helped convince me to sign on the dotted line. Thanks Nana for helping me get my very first home!

I am feeling better.

Monday, October 27, 2008

Can you say...the longest night ever! Last night was rough on me and my Mommy, but we survived. I woke up off and on pretty much all night. Despite the active night, I woke up feeling pretty darn good. I ate like a pig today and played like an animal. However, now Daddy is sick!He has a pretty nasty cold so he was quarantined to the family room. Mommy said that she didn't want me to get sick because then I would get her sick. We can't handle that! I hope he doesn't expect Mommy to rock him all night!

Being that I was such a horrible sleeper last night, I thought that I may need to redeem myself and give Mom a break. I gave her the gift of a big ol' nap. I napped for 2.5 hours this afternoon and I went to bed at 7:20pm! I could tell that she was a very happy Mommy!

I told Mom not to worry that I would make breakfast. Crap. I forgot I'm afraid to put my knees on the tile!

I guess I can sit here and look cute so she will forget my offer.

Mommy says this is the "look" that Daddy gives her every now and then.

Look how big I have gotten! I constantly want to pull up on EVERYTHING!

Just a quick note...

Sunday, October 26, 2008

I only have time for a quick note tonight. I am having a really hard time sleeping tonight and I am not sure if I feel sick. The doctor saw some clear fluid in my ears on Tuesday and I have been pretty fussy the past few days. I even passed on dinner tonight which is very unlike me! I can tell that I am wearing Mommy down but I feel safe when I am laying on her. She says that if I don't seem better in the morning, I may have to go back to the doctor.

I bet you are wondering what I am looking at so intently!

Why of course! It's only the trash can on the bar!

Rainy Day

Saturday, October 25, 2008

Today was a rainy day. Mom was going to take me to the grocery store to get some baby food but it rained so hard that I didn't get to go with her. Instead, I got to stay with Dad while Mommy went to the store all by herself. I gave her my list of favorites and I hope that she got them all. She is pretty good about picking out good grub so I am not too worried. I am quite the eater these days.

A Bubble Bye-Bye

Friday, October 24, 2008

Well, it was a bubble bye-bye for my Nana. We had our last blow out of bubbles before she had to get on an airplane to go back home. It took us forever to get to the airport and I thought that we were going to get to keep her for another night. Her flight was delayed, which ended up being a good thing because of the massive traffic jam we encountered on the way. She will arrive in Lexington tonight or in the morning. Pa said he needed her back because he missed her. I guess that's fair since he promised to let her visit again. Thanks Nana and Pa for making this past week one of my best weeks ever!

Turkey Teaser!

Thursday, October 23, 2008

Today was another day of playing with my Nana. I have to admit that I am kind of sad. Tonight is her last night that she will be staying with me. I promised my Pa that I would give her back and she has to go home tomorrow evening. I wish that she could stay longer with me.

Mom and Nana took some more fall pictures of me today. Nana got me my very first Thanksgiving shirt. Of course, they thought it would make for a good fall picture even though Thanksgiving Day is like a month away. Hope you enjoy!

Mommy's Little Pumpkin!

Wednesday, October 22, 2008

Today was a bit of a busy day. I played most of the day and I posed for the other half. I had been feeling a little icky this morning and had a hard trouble napping. The doctor saw some fluid in my ear the other day and it was starting to hurt a little bit, which made me a fussy boy. Well, that didn't stop Mommy and Nana. They still got me dressed and plopped me down for some pictures. Mommy was dying for pictures of me with pumpkins so she decided to try and snap a few inside. Hope you all like them! John Blue I really hope you like my shirt and my pumpkin! Mommy said that she bet you would approve of them!

Just call me Average Joe.

Tuesday, October 21, 2008

I guess you can just call me average based on my weight and height at my 9 month visit to the pediatrician today. I weighed in at 21lbs 7 ozs and measured 28 ins. Those numbers put me right in the 50th percentile. The doctor seemed surprised that I had 6 teeth. I made sure that I showed them off. I also demonstrated my jumping skills and squirming skills. The doctor seemed soooo pleased with my growth and development.

Mommy talked to him about me and my reaction to ice cream. He told her that it sounded like a dairy allergy and I needed to avoid all dairy products until my next appointment. That means no cheese for me. I can't even have ice cream. He told Mommy that I will probably outgrow the allergy but we needed to be safe for the time being. It looks like I will remain the soy boy for a little while longer.

I am anxiously awaiting the big appointment.

I charmed everyone in the waiting room!

Have you ever seen this happy of a baby at the doctor's office?

Here I thought the doctor was kidding about no cheese and ice cream.

Here is where I realized that he wasn't kidding!

Notice my thumbs up for the choice of restaurant.

I had to ask Nana if she had tried the applesauce.

I finally decided on the yummy apples, kiwi, and mango mix that Mom had packed in the diaper bag.

Mommy loves my cute little profile.

This is when Mom told me that there was no soy on the menu! Yikes!
