Silly Goose!

Saturday, December 12, 2009

Mommy called me a silly goose! Mom has been trying to get me to wear winter hats forever now. I never would even let one stay on my head for more that 6 seconds. Well, I think she decided to use some reverse psychology on me. She put my Cleveland Browns hat on her head and I immediately wanted to wear it! Oh, and I can truley say thanks Aunt Cathy on the cool hat. I love it now that I know it won't kill me to wear it. Now if Mommy can get me to wear it outside instead of at bedtime she will have had true success with me.

Oh, and good news I am officially the best stacker on Shelleys Lane! Thats right. I can stack my cars three high! I started out with cans at the tender age of 12 months and I have worked my way up to stacking everything including cars. I must be one talented tot for being able to do that!

Candy Lane 2009

Thursday, December 10, 2009

I have to tell you about the coolest place ever! It is called Candy Lane. Actually, it's Hershey Park all decked out in Christmas. Last week, Mommy and Nana took me for the first time ever. We met up with Mommy's friend Courtney and her little boy Robbie. Robbie is 15 months so I had to show him the ropes. We had such a blast. Every ride that we went on, one of us would cry to stay on it longer. Neither of us got scared at all. We rode a train, lady bugs, horses on a carousel, and a fire truck. I have to say that I enjoyed them all. Mommy and Courtney tried to get us to ride in a double stroller. That lasted all of two seconds. Once we got on rides, we didn't want to have anything to do with the stroller. Mommy said that we are going to try and go back one more time this year. I can't wait!!!!

Hello Santa!

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

Hello Santa! Today I went to see my good friend Santa for the year. I was so excited to be there until Santa's helper called my name. I immediately got shy. I clung to Dad and didn't want to let go. Santa suggested that we do the alka seltzer technique to get me on his lap. He told Daddy to drop me and back up real quick. It worked. I didn't cry but I showed zero emotion. I was scared stiff! Mommy and Daddy also took a picture with Santa. I have to say that I am glad Christmas is only once a year. I have to wonder what in the world Mommy and Daddy are thinking when they expect me to sit on a strange man's lap and smile! Oh, and Grandma Kaye you will appreciate the vest Mommy picked out for me. She said that she couldn't find a denim vest like my Daddy had but this was kinda close!

Happy 23 Months!!!

Tuesday, December 8, 2009

Today was another busy day at the Kaye house. I turned 23 months old today! I also got to spend the evening with the company of a Polish girl! Yep, you read that right. The flooring contractors came to settle up the bill tonight and they decided to bring along Ada. Ada is Ryan's daughter and she is 21 months old. We had such a blast. I showed Ada all my tricks and all my toys. We had such a wonderful time playing together. She was quite the talker. She knew Polish words and English words! She tried to teach me to say Misiu and Malpa but I wasn't too keen on trying to speak anything but Bradykins.

Remember Me?

Sunday, December 6, 2009

Remember me? I hope that my absence over the last week hasn't made you forget me! It has been such a BUSY, BUSY week! The hardwood floors are almost finished. They still need to do the steps, a transition to the play room, and baseboards in the family room. It has been a long, grueling process. Mommy said if she knew it was going to be so much work, she would have sold the house and bought one with hardwood already in it! Mommy hasn't taken any good pictures of the floor yet. You would not believe how much dust there is on everything. They are doing all the sawing out in the garage but it has still managed to eek it's way in here. We are hoping to have one heck of a blog entry tomorrow or Tuesday. I also will fill you in on my adventures with Nana this week. She was a LIFESAVER during this whole process. I am so glad that my Nana came to keep me company during it all.

I promise.....pictures tomorrow!

Busy Boy!

Tuesday, December 1, 2009

I have been such a busy boy. I have neglected my blog and I feel bad. Good news though! The flooring project is officially underway and boy does it look good. I have been supervising the work being done so it has been an exhausting few days. Right now Mommy and Daddy's room is completely done, the hallway is finished and the blue room is half way complete. Tomorrow, they are going to finish the blue room, start and finish my room, and hopefully get the flooring down in the living room. Mommy is above the moon excited for the new floors. Nana is here to help watch me and get the rooms ready for the work. Last night, my room looked like a room from Hoarders and tonight it is only my crib, Ellie, and I. I must say that it was kind of weird but I slept like a champ!

Today Daddy was home and he insisted on taking me to McDonalds to eat lunch. He had a big surprise for me too. I got to play on the playground there! It was outside and cold so I only got to play for a little bit but it was super fun. Tomorrow I am going to the talking tree to spend a few hours playing. On Thursday, I have a play date with Robbie and his Mom at Candy Lane. I heard Santa may be there too! Mommy is excited to see Robbie's mom being that she hasn't seen her since she quit work. We are going to have so much fun!
