Well, today I had a surprise........ My Daddy was home when I crawled out of bed! Normally, he is off on Tuesday but this week he was off on Monday. What a great start to the week! I also wanted to add that I was the last one out of bed this morning. You're very welcome Mom!
Over the last week, I have been spending a lot of time on my personal hygiene. I finally discovered that I could pull the step stool over to the vanity in the bathroom and stand up on it! I don't know why it took me so long to figure this out being that I climb on everything! I brush my teeth about a half dozen times a day. I also like to wash my hands, clean my ears, and comb my hair. I guess you could say that my favorite room in the house has to be the bathroom. Too bad I still won't get anywhere near sitting on the toilet!
Oh, I don't think I have told you all about my grocery store adventure with Mom. Mom finally gave in and did something that she swore she would never, ever do the other day. She pushed the mother of all carts at the grocery store....you know which one I am talking about.....the one with the car attached to the front with TWO steering wheels. I was so happy. Let me tell you, the steering wheels could spin all the way around. I was probably the happiest kid who ever fastened the seat belt in the car cart. As Mom pushed the HUGE cart around the store I would yell with happiness......Wooooooooowww....Woooooooooo........EEEeeeeeekkk! Everyone had to stare at the overly happy kid and smile at me. Mom, on the other hand, tried to be quiet. She was so quiet I had to routinely yell MAAAAAA every 38 seconds to make sure she was still there. Unfortunately, the cart wouldn't fit in Mom's car so she had to drag it back to the cart corral while I was fighting her every step of the way. I did not want to leave!

Amazing Peanut!
Wednesday, March 10, 2010
I am absolutely the most amazing Peanut in the world. Yesterday, Mommy had to take me with her to one of her doctor appointments. I am usually a handful anytime I get near a doctor type setting. Daddy was having to work so Mom knew we had to make it work. I did AWESOME!
We got up and got ready real quick. Mommy decided to let me eat breakfast in the car being that the first sign of going somewhere, I wouldn't get my head out of the pet door. We parked a good mile away from the part of the hospital that we were headed to for the appointment. I think Mommy was secretly hoping that she would walk some of my energy right out. Well, it must have worked because I couldn't have been a better boy.
At the hospital, we got to see a lot of neat things. I got to see a statue of a big lion. I pointed out all of his parts and roared at him for about 15 minutes. I had a blast. We then went on a color hunt. I helped name all the colors on the vending machines. Daddy has been working on my colors with me so I was able to find red, blue, green, yellow and orange. Too cool! I also discovered that I am a little afraid of elevators. The first one scared me but the other three that we went on had other people in it that talked to me so it wasn't as scary.
During the appointment, Mom came prepared with a cool new toy and shortbread cookies. I got to have some cookies in the lobby and I got to play with my new toy back in the examining room. My new toy was a Fold N Go Matchbox Mickey Mouse Toy. It came with a car and everything. I didn't make a peep the entire time because I was so intrigued by it. Oh wait, I did say Oh my when they put a bandage on Mommy's arm from the blood draw.
Even more exciting news.....Nurse Sandy decided to measure me too. I was 35.5 inches tall. I was squirmy at the pediatrician's office so I was still as a statue for this measurement. They let me stand up tall against the wall and Mommy couldn't believe how good I was for everyone! Nurse Sandy even decided to pull out her purse and give me a special sticker from her collection. It was Percy! I was so excited! My sticker collection is getting bigger!
Mom will find out later this week about her blood levels and if she will be taking more or less of the Vitamin D. Nurse Sandy was so nice to us and told her that anytime I needed to come with Mommy that I was more than welcome to come with her. Yay for a great day!

Coughs, Changes, and Addictions
Monday, March 8, 2010
Well, I am feeling a lot better despite the fact I got Mom up at 4am this morning. She has officially caught my cold so we have spent the day coughing together. Mom has a true cough but I am mainly just mocking her.
Besides being a sick, I have a lot of updates on the Kaye House. I officially have my very own car. Yes, you read it correctly. I am a proud owner of a Step 2 Stock Car Bed!!!! It is awesome! Mommy and Daddy decided to let me have a big boy room. My love of cars motivated the final decision along with Mom's life long dream to have a race car bed. I expect any night for her to beg me to let her sleep in it!
I also have a new napping spot. Mom and Dad splurged and got a new living room set. they sold the other one and my baby furniture so it really didn't cost much at all. I am still getting used to it but I am sure that I will start to like it eventually.
Last but not least, I have an addiction. I think that I may need to sign up for the Intervention show on A&E. I have discovered those wonderful little things called Girl Scout Cookies.....more specifically Trefoils (Old Fashion Shortbread)cookies. I can't stop eating them! The scary part about all of this.......Mommy only ordered ONE box!!!! I have already eaten half of it! What am I going to do!??

Quick Update
Saturday, March 6, 2010
I thought I would give everyone a quick update. I am still a sick little peanut. All week I have been getting more and more icky and Mommy took me back to the doctor this morning...........double ear infections. The doctor decided to give me a different antibiotic to see if that would clear up my problems. I have a cold on top of everything. Luckily, Mommy and I have had Daddy home with us to help out and he has helped take great care of me. Mommy sure hopes that my ears get cleared up soon and I start feeling better.

Great Weekend!
Monday, March 1, 2010
Well, we had another great weekend! I now have a cold but my ears seem to be better. I am a weeeee bit grumpy. Between playing and eating, I am sneezing and coughing. I have been stuck here because Mommy doesn't want to risk getting anyone else sick. I can't wait to get out of this house!
Yesterday, Mommy got a package from Nana. She sent Mom some goodies and I got the best thing of all........the box! I had so much fun with the box. I spent half the day playing with it!

2 Year Checkup!!!
Tuesday , February 23, 2010
Today I had my two year check up.....FINALLY! My last appointment was canceled due to snow. Daddy was off from work so I got to take both Mommy and Daddy. The nurse that took care of me was the same nurse who saw me on my very first visit. She just could not get over how big I was. She kept saying how she remembered the 4 lb little boy that first came in there. Boy time sure flies by!
Any way, I weighed in at 28.12 ozs and measured 34 ins. According to the charts, I am in the 52th percentile for weight and 48th percentile for height. I am pretty average. Developmentally, I am right on track and the doctor was pleased with his evaluation. I was very, very upset having to be checked out and all. Well, the doctor felt sorry for me and decided to bring me back in some chocolate kisses to try and make friends with me. Of course, I cried about that too.
My ears are looking good. He said there was a little fluid in both of them but nothing to be alarmed about. I am going to continue to take the yummy pink medicine for the next few days. Mommy promised that if I was a good boy, that she would take me to the Hop N Shop. Oh, and Daddy did treat me to a Happy Meal after my appointment. My Daddy is the best!
