Chunky Monkey

Thursday, July 17, 2008

So today I had my 6 month appointment. I weighed in at 18lbs 8oz and measured 26in. Both stats place me in the 50th percentile, meaning I am totally average. The doctor was so impressed with my progress and the nurse fell in love with me. I always seem to have a way with the ladies. I got a couple of shots so I am going to go to bed early. I hope everyone had a great day!

Today's wardrobe was brought to you by the Blankenship family. Thanks so much for all the cute clothes that you sent me. I am finally able to wear them!

Pineapple Glazed Ham, yummy!

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

Tonight I got Pineapple Glazed Ham for dinner and it was yummy! My Pa taught me a trick with my tongue and it has made feeding time for Mommy a little more challenging. Mommy says I am such a good eater! Tomorrow I have my 6 month appointment with the doctor and we are so excited to see how much I have grown since my four month appointment. I was 15 lbs even at my 4 month appointment and Daddy thinks I have gained a tons since then. I am not sure what a ton is but I think it is a lot. Daddy says that it is much harder to carry me in my carrier now. I can't wait to show Dr. Ryder my new tricks. I can now roll like a champ and raise up on my arms. I am still working on sitting up by myself but I will get the hang of it one day. I definitely let you know what the doctor says about me tomorrow!

Rub a dub dub!

Tuesday, July 15, 2008

Tonight was bath night. Nana put me in the bathtub instead of my duck tub. Mommy taught her to leave the water running so I can stick my toes under the water. I love how it feels on my toes. I get so excited and splash with my arms. Mommy took a few pictures of me with her trusty old camera. She is still learning how to use her new camera. Daddy can't believe that she is actually reading the manual before going nuts taking pictures of me. Hopefully it will be worth it in the end!

Happy Birthday Uncle John!!!

Monday, July 14, 2008

Happy Birthday Uncle John! Mommy told me that today was your birthday. I have your a really good present. I made it myself and I can't wait to bring it to you in about a month. Don't worry...I placed it in my diaper genie so it would be safe and sound. Mommy says that no one else will know what I am talking about but you. We hope you had a great birthday and as usual, your card is in the mail from Mommy.

Mommy is real sorry that we don't have any new pictures from the day to post. She was feeling a little under the weather and took a big, long nap while Nana took care of me. She is feeling a lot better and promises that she will take some really good pictures tomorrow.

Goodbye Weekend!

Sunday, July 13, 2008

I hope everyone had a great weekend. As for me, I had a great weekend just jumping around in my jumperoo and practicing holding my head up. I am really trying to learn to crawl these days. Mommy and Daddy think it will happen soon. Mommy only got a few pictures of me today because she is trying to learn Photoshop. Grandpa and Grandma Kaye surprised Mommy with Photoshop last week. She was as excited as the day I finally rolled! Hopefully I will have a more exciting adventure for you tomorrow!

Bananas over bananas!

Saturday, July, 12, 2008

Do you think I am a bit dramatic over my bananas? The joke was on Mom and Nana because I wasn't tired and I stayed up past my bedtime!

How can one boy be so lucky?

Friday, July 11, 2008

How can one boy be so lucky? I have so many wonderful people that are in my life. There is too many for me to count, considering I don't even know how to count yet. I do know that I have the best Pa and Grandpa that a boy could ever be so lucky to have. While my Mommy was getting fixed up both my Grandpa and Pa were here to take care of me on different occasions. My Grandpa Kaye was first up to bat when Mommy had to go for her remicade treatment a few weeks ago. He did an awesome job. He got up early in the morning to give me my bottle and even encountered the morning surprise that I had left for the lucky volunteer that got to greet me. Grandpa Kaye even let me watch TV in the "pit" with him throughout the day. He had some back up but he really did a great job and enjoyed hanging out with me .....I could tell because he kept smiling at me.

My Pa Obie got to take care of me on Monday and Tuesday while Mommy had her last surgery to put Stella back in her tummy. Grandpa Kaye gave him a few tips when it came to caring for me. I think he reminded Pa that I was not a breastfed baby! I am not sure really what that means but Mommy and Nana thought it was too funny. Pa got to take care of me all by himself until Daddy got home from work and we got to go see Mom. He fed me baby food, gave me bottles, played with me, and got to change the horrific aftereffect of the apricots Mommy had fed me on Sunday! Pa Obie also taught me a new trick. He taught me how to stick my tongue out and I did it at the table tonight and made Daddy laugh after a long, hard day at work. Pa had to go home this morning and I was sad to see him go. However, I still have Nana here so he will have to come back to get her so I will see him again soon.

This is my Grandpa and Grandma Kaye from their last visit. I had to show you my Grandpa again!

This one is of my Pa Obie from two visits ago. He was in training in this picture.

This picture is for Grandma Kaye. I am finally getting hair! Can you see it better in this one?

I am exhausted and calling it a day!
